Have the crossroads, it has 3.6l vvt pentastar, and let me tell ya, when I press it this thing really moves. I use premium only in the gas tank, as the engine performs well on it.
Pros of this vehicle:
Loads of power with the 6 cylinder. The 4 cylinder version wouldn't be too great where I live because lots of hills. Red line is at 6500 rpm, and if you actually hit it, you're probably speeding.
Lots of room, outstanding factory sound system, decent Bluetooth response time. Handling is very very smooth, responsive.
Heated seats and steering wheel are amazing.
Excellent winter handling, plenty of clearance
Cons of this vehicle:
Gas is expensive. I spend less if I use premium. Yes, I typed that correct and you read that correct. I believe the pentastar performs better with premium fuel.
4 cylinder engine has no power.
Breaks down easy, ESPECIALLY THE DARN OIL FILTER HOUSING!!!!
DO YOUR OWN OIL CHANGES BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE WHO WORK AT SHOPS WILL OVERTIGHTEN AND CRACK YOUR OIL FILTER HOUSING!!!!
Easy to speed. You don't notice speed transitions much.
No option to disable traction control.
If you live where winter exists, don't even think about getting the 4 cylinder engine. Get the sxt or above.
Windshield design makes it chip easy in my experience. Tire size makes for needlessly more expensive tires.
Dont even get me started about the rear wiper blade and the wiring harness for the back lift gate.
